Hyderabad: BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Friday justified his visit to Hyderabad stating that it was his duty to help the “lotus” bloom in Telangana. Urging the voters to elect BJP candidates for a change, he said people were eager to change the present TRS leadership for the real development of the city.
Nadda, who arrived from Delhi by a special flight, was received by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy, party State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar and other senior leaders at the Begumpet road. He participated in roadshows covering Kothapet crossroads and Nagole of the LB Nagar constituency.
“The enthusiasm of the people despite the rain shows that they are keen on throwing out the TRS and bringing in the BJP,” he said. He pointed out that the TRS criticised him for campaigning for corporation elections being a national president. “I have to come here and campaign as I want the party to grow in Telangana,” Nadda said.
