Hyderabad: Having exhausted all other means, Congress leaders, particularly Jubilee Hills by-election candidate V Naveen Yadav, have now resorted to threats, warning Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of dire consequences if they make comments against him and the party.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Naveen Yadav is seen claiming Jubilee Hills to be his territory, asserting that no one could challenge him or his party in the constituency.

“Jubilee Hills is my house and my area. If people from outside challenge or warn us, they won’t leave these lanes,” Naveen Yadav is heard saying in the video clip circulating online.

Taking objection over a section of media writing that he was a candidate with criminal background, Naveen Yadav asked if there were any rowdy-sheets against him.

“A few false cases have been filed in the past and they are being fought in the court. Even if one case is proved, I am prepared to quit politics and leave Hyderabad. Will BRS leaders quit?” Yadav is seen asking in the video.

“If BRS leaders resort to any cheap tricks or tamasha, this is my home. If anyone visits here with an aim to target me personally, they will go back home from these lanes,” Yadav threatened.

In another incident, Fisheries Corporation Chairman Mettu Sai Kumar allegedly threatened a Bharat Rashtra Samithi social media activist for sharing images of empty chairs at Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s meeting with film workers on Tuesday.

Questioning the authenticity of the post, Sai Kumar reportedly abused the activist in unparliamentary language in a message sent through Facebook Messenger. “Were you present at the venue?” he asked, while using abusive language, according to screenshots shared online.
