Hyderabad: The participation of Congress candidate V Naveen Yadav’s father, Chinna Srisailam Yadav, in the Jubilee Hills by-election campaign alongside Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister D Anasuya (Seethakka) has sparked a controversy.
Chinna Srisailam Yadav, a known rowdy-sheeter, was among those bound over by the city police on Monday. Naveen Yadav’s uncle was also among the rowdy-sheeters bound over the same day.
Allegations surfaced that Chinna Srisailam joined the Minister during a campaign event at Krishna Kanth Park, Yousufguda, where she interacted with morning walkers. Photographs of the two campaigning together have since gone viral on social media.
The Congress, however, denied the allegations, stating that Chinna Srisailam Yadav took part in the event earlier on Monday, before the bind over orders were issued by the police.
