K Chandrashekhar Rao’s brother-in-law J Srinivas Rao dies after prolonged illness
J Srinivas Rao, brother-in-law of BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao and maternal uncle of KT Rama Rao, died at Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad on Thursday after a prolonged illness. BRS leaders, including KTR and T Harish Rao, visited the hospital.

Hyderabad: J Srinivas Rao, brother-in-law of BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, died at around 3 am on Thursday after battling a prolonged illness. He was undergoing treatment at Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad.
He is survived by his wife, son and daughter. The last rites are expected to be performed after his son’s arrival from the US on Friday.
Srinivas Rao was the youngest and only brother of Chandrashekhar Rao’s wife Shobhamma, and maternal uncle of BRS working president KT Rama Rao. Though not an active politician, he was well-known among BRS leaders for his humility and kindness as a soft-spoken person.
Following Srinivas Rao’s demise, Rama Rao and BRSLP deputy leader T Harish Rao cancelled their scheduled programmes in Hyderabad and visited the hospital.
BRS Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, former Ministers S Niranjan Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Vemula Prashanth Reddy, and several other BRS leaders extended condolences to the family and prayed for the departed soul.
