Actor-politician Kamal Haasan, who celebrates his birthday on November 7, has started a free meal service for the underprivileged. The drive will go on for a week where in his party Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) will aim to provide meals for 7 lakh people. The philanthropic initiative was flagged by Kamal Haasan at his party headquarters in Chennai.
Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, as he is fondly addressed by his fans and admirers, has, in his young but impactful political career, done everything he can to touch people’s lives and provide them with any and every aid possible.
On the acting front, the superstar is busy shooting for ‘Vikram’, co-starring Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil. The highly-anticipated film will be releasing in 2022 and the team is leaving no stone unturned to make it a complete blockbuster.
The south star’s birthday celebrations are being meticulously planned by his legion of cadres with 70 organ donation drives and medical camps planned across Tamil Nadu.
The events at his party headquarters will include a meet and greet with party cadres and other political leaders. This will be followed by him declaring the opening of two drinking water plants in underprivileged areas of Chennai and Coimbatore, where people do not have access to drinking water.
Post this, he will be seen inaugurating Kamal Digital Library and KH School of Skills development to facilitate the learning of life skills and ancient arts across all sectors to aid the beneficiaries to establish an independent livelihood.
