Hyderabad: Voicing concern over the mortgage of 400 acres of Kancha Gachibowli land by the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC), former minister T Harish Rao on Saturday demanded the State government to come out with a white paper on the issue.

He recalled that the government had informed the state legislative assembly that the land was mortgaged to secure a loan. However, ICICI Bank had now issued a statement denying any involvement, claiming that no such mortgage was made with them. This discrepancy has sparked questions about the true nature of the transaction.

Harish Rao alleged that the government might have mortgaged the land to private brokerage firms linked to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. He demanded clarity on the “dark corners” of this deal and called for the release of a white paper to shed light on the matter.
