Karimnagar: 15 resource persons roped in for Dalit Bandhu implementation
Vasala Ramaswamy, a native of Thanugula in Jammikunta mandal, is one of the 15 resource persons who met with District Collector RV Karnan after CMK Chandrashekhar Rao spoke to him over phone
Karimnagar: A total of 15 resource persons have been selected from five mandals and two municipalities for effective implementation of Telangana Dalit Bandhu scheme.
“You should gather in your respective mandal headquarters on July 26 morning and proceed to Huzurabad in buses arranged by the government after breakfast. Then proceed to Hyderabad after garlanding the statue of BR Ambedkar in Huzurabad. We will discuss the scheme for two hours before lunch and another two hours after lunch. All issues, pros and cons of the implementation of Dalit Bandhu will be discussed during the day-long session,” Chandrashekhar Rao told him.
Ramaswamy broke in during the conversation and told the Chief Minister that the Dalits’ future would undergo a sea change once the scheme is implemented. “Though I have been associated with TRS since 2001, former Minister Eatala Rajender denied MPTC ticket to my wife in 2018 local body elections. My wife contested as an independent candidate and won the seat,” he pointed out, to which Chandrashekhar Rao replied: “Rajender is a small person and no change in their lives would have taken place with him around.”
Speaking to the media on Saturday, Ramaswamy said Chandrashekhar Rao had spoken to him over phone and invited him to take part in the July 26 meeting. Based on the Chief Minister’s instructions, the resource persons met with Karnan on Friday, he said.
