Karimnagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) reportedly conducted searches at the residence and properties of Irrigation Executive Engineer (EE) Nune Sridhar in connection with allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.
ACB officials, who are said to have taken Sridhar into custody from his residence in Karimnagar early on Wednesday morning, carried out simultaneous searches at 12 locations across Hyderabad, Karimnagar, and Siddipet.
Sridhar is currently serving in the CAD Division-8 of the SRSP camp office in Choppadandi. He is also holding additional charge as Superintending Engineer (SE) for the Lakshmipur under-tunnel, Nandi Medaram, and Goliwada pump house.
Previously associated with the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, Sridhar is regarded as one of the key engineers who played a crucial role in its execution.
He was residing in an apartment near the RTC workshop in Karimnagar town. As his personal flat was found locked during the raid, ACB officials extended the search to a relative’s house in the town. The ACB’s special team reportedly took him into custody for further questioning.
