Karimnagar: ACB traps Shankarapatnam Deputy Tahsildar

Mallesham demanded the bribe from a person for NALA conversion. Unable to give the bribe, the victim approached ACB, which trapped deputy tahsildar while accepting the amount.

Karimnagar: Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths trapped Shankarapatnam Deputy Tahsildar Mallesham while accepting Rs 6000 bribe from a person on Saturday.

According to ACB sleuths, Mallesham demanded the bribe from one Naveen Rao of Eradapalli for NALA conversion of his 2.25 guntas of land. Not interested to give the bribe, the victim approached ACB, which trapped deputy tahsildar while accepting the amount in Tahsildar office.

ACB police took him into custody and produced in the court. DSP Ramanamurthy and others participated in the raid.
