Karimnagar: Internal bickering in the Karimnagar Congress party came to the fore after followers of DCC president and Manakondur MLA Dr Kavvampally Satyanarayana staged a protest against Karimnagar parliament constituency Congress in-charge Velichala Rajender Rao.
MRPS activists and the MLA’s followers staged a dharna at Telangana Chowk here on Thursday for not printing the photo of the MLA on flexes arranged for the Ganesh festival.
Rajender Rao arranged flexi stickers on autorickshaws informing that the state government is supplying free power to Ganesh pandals on the occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations.
However, the photo of the MLA was missing on a flexi arranged at Rajiv Chowk. Enraged over this, MRPS activists and the MLA’s followers staged a protest demonstration.
