Karimnagar Dairy Chairman Ch Rajeshwar Rao inaugurating retail fertilizer shop in Anthakkapet on Friday.
Karimnagar: Karimnagar Dairy, which has forayed into sale of fertilizers for farmers, opened another retail fertilizer shop in Anthakkapet village of Husnabad mandal headquarters of Siddipet district on Friday.
This is the 12th fertiliser shop set up by Karimnagar Dairy in erstwhile Karimnagar district. It started selling fertilizers from last kharif season after tying up with the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO).
All the 12 milk producer institutions (MPIs), which started selling fertilizers, were reaping riches with good profits. The Dairy is planning to open more retail fertilizers shops in the district to benefit the milk producing farmers.
Karimnagar Dairy chairman Ch Rajeshwara Rao had formally inaugurated the retail fertilizer at MPI Anthakkapeta village on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that they had entered into the selling of the fertilizers through MPIs only to benefit the milk producing farmers to make available the necessary fertilizers at their doorstep and at a lesser price when compared to the market rates and MRP.
“Our mission is to encourage the farmers to take up dairy units as an alternate source of income along with farming and provide all necessary assistance for farm activities and rearing of milking animals”, he stated. On this occasion, the Dairy chairman had distributed financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to the bereaved family of a milk producer farmer and financial assistance of Rs 3,000 each to five farmers for growing fodder in their fields.
