Karimnagar: Man dies of sunstroke in Jammikunta

A 60-year-old man died of suspected sunstroke in Jammikunta, Karimnagar, after collapsing at home following work in agricultural fields. He was rushed to hospital but died during treatment. Police have registered a case and started investigation.

Karimnagar: A 60-year-old man, Boggula Sammaiah, died of sunstroke in Jammikunta on Friday. According to villagers, a resident of Abadi Jammikunta locality, Sammaiah went to agricultural fields for work and returned home in the afternoon.

Sammaiah, who developed ill health in the fields itself, collapsed after reaching home. Local people shifted him to a hospital, where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment. Sammaiah’s wife died three years ago. On receiving information about the incident, police visited the spot and began investigation by registering a case.
