Karimnagar police seize 140 mopeds in licence crackdown

In a special drive conducted in Karimnagar town, traffic police seized 140 mopeds (TVS XL) for being operated without valid documents, particularly driving licences. The police also imposed fines under the Motor Vehicles Act and counselled riders.

Karimnagar:  The Karimnagar traffic police seized 140 Mopeds (TVS XL) vehicles being operated without valid documents, especially driving licences.

Traffic police conducted a special vehicle checking drive in Karimnagar town on Wednesday and temporarily seized 140 mopeds for being operated without valid documents, especially driving licences. Besides giving counselling to vehicle drivers, a fine was also imposed according to the Motor Vehicles Act.


Traffic ACP Yadagiri Swamy said that it was dangerous to drive vehicles without a driving licence and warned that strict action would be taken if traffic rules were violated. Similar checks would continue in the future as part of road safety measures, ACP informed.
