Karimnagar: Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao on Saturday said the city police training centre has all the potential to become a tourism spot once the proposed works such as plantation of Nakshtra Rashivanam, development of fish tank and walking track are completed.
The Mayor along with Municipal Commissioner Valluru Kranthi visited the police training centre and inspected the Miyawaki forestation phase-I and II. They also visited and performed sramadanam at the proposed site where Nakshatra Rashivanam, fish tank and walkers track are being planned.
Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy explained about the supply of water and fertilizer to saplings through a drip system and a unit setup for the manufacture of organic fertiliser. CP also explained about the problems being faced due to stagnation of rainwater at Miyawaki forest.
Responding to CP’s request, the Mayor promised to construct drainage to avoid water stagnation and flow water easily. He immediately instructed municipal engineers to prepare estimations.
Sunil Rao also promised to provide any kind of assistance from the municipal corporation. He appreciated Karimnagar police for enhancing green cover in the town by planting trees in a big way besides maintaining law and order.
