Karimnagar: The prolonged battering of the COVID-19 has considerably impacted student life. Thus, a decline in the virus cases has provided a great respite to the pupils who are turning into classrooms. After staying cooped up at home for a year-and-half, children are now coming out to participate in various activities ahead of examinations.

The High Mount School in Kashmirgudda here held a student Rythu Bazar on Sunday to create awareness of farmer importance in the State. The students dressed up as farmers and vegetable vendors thrilled the visitors. “We held Rythu Bazar to create awareness among students on the importance of the farmer who is the backbone for the nation,” said Mohammed Khalid, principal.

He also said that the event also aimed to educate about vegetables that were an essential component of a healthy diet for health. “We are emphasising upon avoiding eating junk food and switch to the diet of fruit and vegetables,” Khalid added.

According to him, a total of five quintals of vegetables were sold during the event.
