Karimnagar’s Satavahana University gets engineering, law colleges
Both the colleges will be operated from the academic year 2025-26. While the university college of engineering will be established at Husnabad, the university college of law will be on the Satavahana university premises.
There is a demand that the college be located at Satavahana University.
Karimnagar: The State government has sanctioned an engineering college and a law college to Satavahana University. Government orders regarding this were issued on Monday.
Both the colleges will be operated from the academic year 2025-26. While the university college of engineering will be established at Husnabad, the university college of law will be on the Satavahana university premises.
The Engineering college will have four B.Tech programmes including Computer Science and Engineering, CSE (Artificial Intelligence) Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Engineering. The college will be started with an intake of 60 students in each programme.
Rs 44.12 crore was sanctioned for the construction of the college and other expenditure.
Meanwhile, the three years LLB course will be started with two sections with an intake of 60 students each and LLM (intellectual property law) with one section with an intake of 20 students.
Rs 22.96 crore was sanctioned for the development of the law college.
