Jagtial: BRS MLC K Kavitha was given a warm reception when she arrived in Jagtial as part of her visit to the town on Sunday. Women and BRS activists, who gathered in big numbers at Dharur crossroads on the outskirts of Jagtial town, welcomed her with a giant garland.
Kavitha played ‘bathukamma’ with women after garlanding the Ambedkar statue. Later, she took part in a bike rally held from Dharur to the new bus-stand.
Speaking on the occasion, she said the gathering of women and other people in big numbers once again proved that Jagtial was an ‘adda’ for the BRS.
People of the State have lost Telangana Thalli and Bathukamma in the Congress regime, she said, questioning the status of the Rs 2,500 per month promised to women by the Congress.
On local MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar, Kavitha questioned how the legislator, who defected to the Congress after getting BRS votes, was attending Assembly sessions.
