Unveiling the poster of the seminar titled ‘Ganatantra Bharat, Jaagrutha Bharat’ at her residence here on Monday, Kavitha emphasised the importance of revisiting the foundational principles of the Constitution. She stressed the need for collective efforts to ensure that its benefits reach all citizens, particularly marginalised communities.

The seminar will provide a platform for diverse voices to engage in discussions on key issues including the challenges in implementing the rights guaranteed by the Constitution, the role of the judiciary, and the ongoing struggles faced by women and minorities in accessing their rights. It will also explore key themes like strengthening democracy and transparency through necessary reforms, elections and democracy under the Indian Constitution, the approach of contemporary governments towards constitutional values, and caste enumeration and its implications.
