KCR extends condolences to Gulzar House fire victims, urges State govt to help them

Calling the incident deeply unfortunate, the former Chief Minister asked the government to remain vigilant and implement strict preventive measures to avoid such disasters in the future.

Hyderabad: BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed deep shock over the tragic fire at Gulzar House near Charminar that claimed 17 lives on Sunday. Extending condolences to the bereaved families, he urged the State government to ensure quality medical treatment for the injured and adequate financial support for the victims’ families.

Calling the incident deeply unfortunate, the former Chief Minister asked the government to remain vigilant and implement strict preventive measures to avoid such disasters in the future.


Former Minister T Harish Rao also condoled the demise of 17 persons in the fire mishap and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured. He lashed out at the Congress government for its gross negligence in fire safety preparedness.

“Despite a series of fire mishaps across Hyderabad, the government continues to ignore preventive strategies,” he said. He demanded that the government conduct a comprehensive review of the fire department’s readiness and also pay an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh each to the bereaved families.

BRS MLC K Kavitha termed the incident shocking and saddening, extending her condolences to the bereaved families. She prayed for speedy recovery of the injured and urged the authorities to extend all necessary support and ensure a thorough investigation.
