Hyderabad: Keeping up with the momentum gained from last month’s BRS extended executive body meeting, party president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is set to reinvigorate the party’s grassroots network. Starting in the next few weeks, he will personally engage with local leaders to assess ground realities and boost the morale of party workers.
While Chandrashekhar Rao has been meeting the party cadre and also the public at his Erravelli residence since recovering from a hip replacement surgery last year, he intends to hold constituency-wise meetings in a more structured manner. Leaders from each constituency will interact with him, share firsthand reports on the current political situation, providing him with insights into public sentiment and issues plaguing them.
According to party insiders, the decision was made following suggestions from BRS leaders during the extended executive meeting held last month. The enthusiasm among cadre after the party meeting was announced has been evident, prompting Chandrashekhar Rao to immediately approve a structured plan to reconnect with local leaders.
Around 150-200 leaders each from one or two constituencies will meet the BRS chief on an appointed day every week. Senior leaders have been directed to make necessary arrangements including travelling, in this regard. The meetings are likely to be scheduled every week, commencing in a couple of weeks.
Apart from these constituency-specific interactions, the former Chief Minister is also keen to resume regular discussions at Telangana Bhavan. Party sources indicate that he will actively guide leaders on public issues, governance failures under Congress, and strategies to regain political ground.
Accordingly, the BRS is set to launch an aggressive action plan on the Congress government’s inefficiencies. With Chandrashekhar Rao personally leading the charge, the party aims to strengthen its base, energise the cadre, and prepare for upcoming political battles.
