Khammam: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao emerged as a role model for others in the country, TRS Lok Sabha party leader and Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao said on Saturday.

He along with ZP Chairman Lingala Kamalraj distributed CMRF cheques to the beneficiaries at the MP camp office here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that in the past seven years the Chief Minister has introduced many wonderful schemes for public welfare.

He said there was no leader in the country who thought about the welfare of people like K Chandrashekhar Rao did. Telangana was ranked number one in the areas of welfare and development and was bringing in schemes that would benefit every section of the State.

The Chief Minister was credited with making corporate level medical care accessible to the poorer sections and he has become an elderly support to every household. Chandrashekhar Rao was the only Chief Minister providing financial assistance to the poor through CMRF for medical care, Nageswara Rao said.

It was the first time in the history that the Chief Minister signed the cheques himself and sent the documents to the beneficiaries. The beneficiaries need to keep the cheques in the bank and laminate the letter with the Chief Minister’s photo and keep it, the MP suggested.

Beneficiaries should be proud to receive letters from the CM, he said, adding that he was always ready to serve people. Since winning as the MP for the second time CMRF cheques were being given to more people with support from the Chief Minister, he noted.

The MP assured that the CMRF would work hard to clear the applications of those eligible for assistance. The cheques were handed over to about 150 beneficiaries from Errupalem, Bonakal, Chintakani, Madhira and Mudigonda mandals.

Rythu Bandhu Samithi district convener N Venkateswara Rao, DCCB Director Ailuri Venkateswara Reddy, Madhira Market Committee former Chairman Chava Ramakrishna, Nama Seva Samithi leader Palvancha Rajesh and TRS leader M Baby Swarna Kumari were present.
