Khairatabad tops GHMC Early Bird property tax collection
GHMC’s Early Bird property tax scheme has collected Rs 93.02 crore so far, with Khairatabad leading among zones. Shamshabad recorded the lowest collection. Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation also reported strong early performance with ₹61.95 crore collected in 15 days.

Hyderabad: The GHMC’s Early Bird scheme saw Khairatabad with Rs 39.43 crore collected till date stand top among six zones, while Shamshabad collected Rs 6.51 crore to be lowest in the table.
Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan said the annual demand of the property tax was Rs 1,166.02 crore and, as of now, Rs 93.02 crore was collected with 1,11,472 properties availing the scheme.
Among other zones, Charminar collected Rs 7.17 crore, while Golconda collected Rs 15.82 crore, Rajendra Nagar collected Rs 9.46 crore, and Secunderabad collected Rs 14.63 crore under the scheme. Last year, a total of 3,58,498 properties availed this scheme and GHMC earned Rs 416.68 crores, said the Commissioner.
In Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC), Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy said that within 15 days, property tax of Rs 61.95 crore was collected under the Early Bird scheme. Last year, MMC collected Rs 240 crore under this scheme.
