Cyberabad Municipal Corporation recorded a significant rise in property tax collection under the Early Bird scheme, with a 16 percent increase over last year. Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation also reported higher collections, reflecting improved revenue performance.

GHMC’s Early Bird property tax scheme has collected Rs 93.02 crore so far, with Khairatabad leading among zones. Shamshabad recorded the lowest collection. Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation also reported strong early performance with ₹61.95 crore collected in 15 days.

GHMC has announced a 5% rebate under its Early Bird Scheme for property tax payments for 2026–27. Taxpayers must clear all dues and pay the full annual amount in one transaction. Payments can be made online or at centres.

The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) has introduced an Early Bird discount scheme, offering a 5% rebate on property tax payments made before April 30 for the fiscal year 2026–27. Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy clarified that the discount applies only to current dues, excluding arrears and interest.

The government has announced a 5 per cent concession on the tax amount if the property tax for the financial year 2025-26 was paid by April 30.

Speaking to the media, they said that at least four contractors lost their lives due to heart attacks in the last year and said they are making these demands now as there were impressive collections under the Early Bird Scheme.

The management of the hospital met GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose on Tuesday and handed over the cheques. While GHMC is targeting to collect around Rs. 1,200 crore through this scheme, Rs. 230 crore was collected up until April 15.

Commissioner Ronald Rose in a press statement asked citizens to pay their taxes under the scheme which gives a rebate of five per cent. It closes on April 30.
