Khammam: In a display of honesty, an autorickshaw driver returned gold jewellery worth about Rs 1.50 lakh to a woman passenger who forgot the ornament in his auto.
Srikanth picked up K Nagmani at the old bus stand TRSKV-TATU auto stand in the city on Thursday and dropped her at Mustafanagar St. Mary’s School. But the woman while getting out of the vehicle forgot her bag in it.
The bag contained a gold chain and Rs 400 cash. The auto driver who noticed the bag immediately handed it over to traffic CI Anjali, who in turn handed over the bag to the woman’s family member at the traffic police station.
The CI and TRSKV – TATU district president Palvancha Krishna appreciated Srikanth driver for his integrity. Traffic SI Madhar, ASI Nageswara Rao, TRSKV – TATU secretary Vema Selvaraju and others were present.
