Khammam Bishop distributes scholarship cheques to 795 students
Khammam Catholic Diocese Bishop Dr. Sagili Prakash distributed scholarships worth Rs 45.80 lakh to 795 students from Khammam and Kothagudem districts to support higher education. Students pursuing MBBS, engineering, pharmacy, law, nursing, agriculture, and other courses benefited.

Khammam: Khammam Catholic Diocese Bishop Dr. Sagili Prakash distributed scholarships to students of Khammam and Kothagudem districts to support their higher education.
At a programme organised by Khammam Diocese and Khammam Diocese Social Service Society on Sunday Bishop Dr. Prakash handed over scholarships worth Rs 45.80 lakh to 795 students.
MBBS, B Pharmacy, M Pharmacy, Pharm. D, B.Ed., engineering, MBA, B.Sc. (Nursing), B.Sc. (Agriculture), PG, Degree, DMLT, LLB, PhD, Special Oriental Course students were given these scholarships.
Speaking on the occasion, Bishop Dr. Prakash said that the students should cultivate high values with good discipline and grow up as responsible citizens in the society and contribute to the development of the country and society.
Apart from spiritual programmes, Khammam Diocese Diocese Social Service Society has been providing special services in the fields of education, medicine and welfare, he said while calling upon the students to excel in studies, reach higher positions, so that they could help others.
The Bishop prayed for the students, who felicitated the Bishop as a mark of gratitude. Vicar General Tappati Shouri, Finance Administrator Surepalli Isaac, Bishop Secretary Tudum Vijay, Director of Social Service Damalla Suresh, Boarding Rector Aroyam, Pastor Center Director Kakumanu Raju and others were present.
