Khammam: BRS leaders in erstwhile Khammam have demanded the immediate arrest of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s son, Bandi Bhageerath, who was booked in a POCSO case.

Speaking to the media at Yellandu in Kothagudem, senior party leader Dindigala Rajender alleged that Bandi Sanjay, despite being in a responsible position as a Union Minister, was shielding his son.

He demanded that the NDA government at the Centre remove Bandi Sanjay from his ministerial post. He also sought the suspension of the concerned SHO for alleged negligence in handling the incident and condemned the Telangana government’s indifference despite the gravity of the situation.

In Khammam, a protest was staged at the party district headquarters, where BRS leaders burnt an effigy of Bandi Sanjay. Party leaders Pagadala Nagaraju, K Nagabhushanam and others demanded immediate action from the Congress government regarding the case in which a minor girl was allegedly raped and her family subsequently harassed.
