Khammam: District Level Committee approval must for real estate ventures
Collector, the Committee Chairman informed that serious action would be taken against those developing ventures without obtaining permission from the District Level Committee
Khammam: Real estate developers in the district should henceforth need to obtain permissions for developing layouts and ventures from the District Level Committee to be chaired by the District Collector.
Soon there would be no approvals from Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP), the nodal agency for urban planning, for developing the housing layouts and other types of plots.
This was revealed by the District Collector, RV Karnan, who held a meeting with the real estate developers here on Tuesday. He said that those developing ventures under the limits of the SUDA, Khammam Municipal Corporation or gram panchayats have to obtain prior permission from the District Level Committee to do so.
A Government Order (GO) to this effect would soon be issued. Another meeting with the real estate developers and proprietors of real estate companies would be held to make them understand the rules and guidelines to be incorporated in the GO, the Collector said.
Karnan cautioned that serious action would be taken against those developing ventures without obtaining permission from the District Level Committee. Erecting advertisement boards and arches at venture sites without approval from the committee would be illegal and they would be demolished, besides taking action against the concerned persons.
There was no permission to develop real estate ventures near tank bunds. The lands in municipal area, SUDA and gram panchayat limits have to be registered for developing layouts and ventures, he said. Stambhadri Urban Development Authority (SUDA) Chairman, Bachu Vijay Kumar informed that layout and venture permissions would be given within 21 days to those who applied as per government guidelines.
He warned against encroaching government and ceiling lands to develop ventures while adding that all future permissions for real estate ventures would be issued by the District Level Committee alone and developers have to obtain permissions accordingly. Mayor, P Neeraja, Additional Collector M Snehalatha, Municipal Commissioner, Anurag Jayanthi and others were present.
