Telangana Dancers Association members, philanthropists with the family of L Kiran, who passed away a few months ago.
Khammam: In a kind gesture, the members of Telangana Dancers Association and a few philanthropists have extended a financial assistance of Rs 1.20 lakh to the family of a deceased choreographer. Lingaboina Kiran, a choreographer of Khammam passed away six months ago after falling sick.
Telangana Dancers Association has recently organised a state level dance competition in memory of Kiran and also conducted Miss Khammam event to raise funds to help his bereaved family. Besides Rs 50,000 raised through the events, a leading pediatrician Dr Kurapati Pradeep offered Rs 25,000 and Mahila Pranganam officer Velpula Vijetha donated Rs 25,000 on behalf of Vijetha Foundation while former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy camp office in-charge , Namburi Dayakar Reddy offered Rs 20,000.
The members of the association, Dr Pradeep and Vijetha have called on the bereaved family members of Kiran on Saturday and extended condolences to the family members and later handed over the money to them. The family members have thanked them for their generous heart. The dance master Kiran, who used to conduct dance classes for school children had worked in a few Telugu films, informed the association members.
