Khammam: The State government’s decision to stop filling up of DSC-2024 special education teachers’ posts has left as many as 1000 job aspirants across the State worried over their future.

The government’s decision came due to the pending case in court on the issue of TET eligibility. The government has stopped ongoing verification of certificates as well as recruitment process of candidates qualified in DSC 2024 special education category.

A few qualified candidates have called on Telangana State School Teachers Federation (STF) state general secretary, TGEJAC vice-chairman Devarakonda Saidulu here on Wednesday and submitted a petition seeking the federation’s intervention.

The candidates have appealed to him to take the matter to the notice of the government and ensure that recruitment process starts immediately and appoint them along with other DSC qualified candidates.

Saidulu assured them to take the matter to the notice of the government as well as to deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka to start the recruitment process as soon as possible. He spoke to director of school education EV Narasimha Reddy over telephone to convey the concerns of the candidates.

STF district general secretary Mansoor, district in-charges Sudhakar Reddy, Potagani Venkanna, DSC 2024 special education job seekers Pawan, Veerababu, Krishna Rao and others were present.

Special education teachers are the teachers who were trained to teach students with visual and speech impairment as well as those with learning disabilities. In Khammam as many as 35 candidates have qualified for special education teacher posts.
