Khammam hospital gets Covid help desk
The help desk staffed by police constables and medical staff would provide information on various wards in the hospital to those who come from distant places during the day and night

Khammam: Khammam police have set up a ‘Covid-19 help desk’ on the premises of the District Headquarters Hospital here to assist persons with suspected Covid symptoms.
Commissioner of Police Vishnu S Warrier inaugurated the facility on Saturday.
The help desk staffed by police constables and medical staff would provide information on various wards in the hospital to those who come from distant places during the day and night.
The patients rushing to the hospital for better treatment were often worried about the pandemic situation and had no idea about whom to approach for help. The help desk would give proper guidance related to Covid treatment, the Commissioner of Police noted.
Special measures to provide better medical care were being taken if any of the police personnel are infected with the virus, the CP said, adding he himself was enquiring about the health condition of the staff through video conferencing. He appropriated the arrangements being made at the help desk.
Additional DCP (Law & Order) Subhash Chandra Bose, Hospital Superintendent Dr B Venkateshwarlu, ACP (Special Branch) Prasanna Kumar, two town CI Karunakar and Urban CI Venkanna Babu were present.
