Khammam: Missing woman found murdered; burnt remains recovered in Sathupalli
An elderly woman from Khammam district who went missing three days ago was found murdered and burned. Police arrested her son-in-law, who confessed to the crime. Forensic teams recovered bone fragments from the site, and investigation is ongoing.

Khammam: An elderly woman who went missing was said to have been found burnt in Sathupalli mandal in the district.
According to sources, the deceased Vedulla Venkata Narsamma (60) of Tummuru village went missing three days ago. Following a complaint lodged by her family at Sathupalli police station, the police registered a missing person case and launched an investigation.
During the probe, police suspected the woman’s son-in-law Gundala Tirupathi Rao; took him into custody and interrogated. He reportedly confessed to murdering Narsamma. Based on the information provided by him, the police along with a clues team searched the outskirts of Narayanapuram village for her body.
They spotted traces of the body having been burned at a dumping site on the outskirts of the village on Saturday. As the body was completely incinerated, they collected bone fragments from the ashes.
The remains of the were being sent for further forensic examination and police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
