Khammam: Officials told to carry out household survey carefully

Khammam: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu asked officials to take steps for the success of the comprehensive household survey meant to collect social, economic, educational, employment, political and caste data of the public.
He attended a video conference from Madhira in the district. Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Jupalli Krishna Rao and Tummala Nageswara Rao as well as Chief Secretary A Shanti Kumari attended the video conference.Bhatti Vikramarka said the procedures for conducting the household survey were discussed and approved in the Cabinet meeting. The findings of the survey would be used to prepare appropriate plans to improve socio-economic, educational, employment and political opportunities for SC, ST and other weaker sections.
The survey conducted by the government would bring a change in the lives of lakhs of people and the officials should be careful while collecting the details. The details should be collected from every house and a plan should be prepared accordingly. Enumerators and supervisors required for conducting the survey should be identified and training should be provided to them. Village, mandal and district level government officials should be selected for carrying out the survey, he said.Enumeration block (EB) maps should be updated to have one enumerator for 150 families, a supervisor should be appointed for monitoring data collection for 10 EB blocks and the supervisor should randomly select 10 percent of the houses and check the data details, Bhatti Vikramarka added.
