Khammam: A school student of Khammam, Ch Bishwajit Krishna won the 183rd Brilliant Trophy Chess Junior title at a recently held tournament in Hyderabad. He along with his school director and principal called on District Collector VP Gautham here on Friday. The Collector congratulated Krishna, who won a gold medal by scoring 11.5 points in 12 rounds in the tournament that witnessed participation of around 112 players. Gautham told the student to continue his winning spirit and achieve great victories at national and international level to bring fame to Telangana State. He lauded the student’s chess coach Ch Gopi Krishna for training him to excel in the game. Triveni High School principal, Rajendra Prasad, its director Veerendra Chowdary, staff Murali Krishna and others were present.
