Khammam: Women at Sathupalli in the district created a massive rangoli design to thank Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for the measures he took for the women welfare in the State.

A 130 feet long multi colour rangoli was drawn at Sathupalli Municipality office premises to highlight crossing of 10 lakh mark in the distribution of Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak cheques.

The innovative rangoli depicted the marriage ceremonies of Hindu, Muslim and Christian traditions and Chief Minister blessing a couple with talambralu. The rangoli art also highlighted Mata Shishu Care Centres, KCR Kits, and Mission Bhagiratha.

Women in large numbers stood around the rangoli holding placards reading ‘Mahila Bandhu KCR Jayaho, On the occasion the local MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah distributed Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak cheques and sarees to beneficiaries.
