Kiran and Mallika win Osmania University cross country titles

K Kiran and Mallika won the men’s and women’s 10 km races in the Osmania University inter-college cross country championship in Hyderabad. Government Degree College Medak and St Ann’s College for Women claimed the team titles in their respective categories

Hyderabad: K Kiran of Government College of Physical Education (Domalguda) and Mallika of TGSWRDC (Mahendra Hills) won the 10 km event in the men’s and women’s sections respectively in the Osmania University inter-college cross country championship at the OU athletics track here.

In the team championship, Government Degree College (Medak) and St Ann’s College for Women won the titles in the men’s and women’s categories respectively.


The results:
Men: 10 km: 1. K Kiran (GCPE) 31:26.12, 2. Nenavath Dhoni (Govt DC, Hayathnagar), 3. R Ashok (GDC Medak).
Team event: 1. Govt Degree College, Medak; 2. Govt Degree College, Hayathnagar; 3. Dr BR Ambedkar College.

Women: 10 km: 1. Mallika (TGSWRDC, Mahendra Hills) 36:00.33, 2. L Dhikshitha (Sri Sai Vignan Bharathi), 3. E Poojitha (GDCW, Begumpet).
Team event: 1. St Ann’s College for Women; 2. Govt Degree College for Women (Begumpet); 3. Govt Degree College, Hayathnagar.
