Kishan Reddy reviews Nampally railway station redevelopment

Hyderabad: Union Minister of Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy on Thursday inspected the ongoing redevelopment works at Hyderabad (Nampally) Railway Station.
He reviewed the progress of construction works, including the station building, basement parking and circulating areas, and also assessed safety measures at the work site.
Later speaking to the media, Kishan Reddy said the station was being redeveloped at a cost of Rs 327.27 crore with modern infrastructure and world class amenities. The upgraded station will feature lifts, escalators, travelators, basement parking, foot over bridges, CCTV surveillance, Wi-Fi and improved passenger facilities.
He added that the redevelopment aims to enhance passenger experience at the busy station, which currently handles about 60 trains daily with an average footfall of around 28,000 passengers.
SCR General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava was present during the inspection.
