KK survey shows BRS far ahead of Congress in Jubilee Hills bypolls

A pre-election survey by KK Surveys and Strategies reveals BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha leading the race in Jubilee Hills with a projected 55.2% vote share. The Congress trails at 37.8%, while BJP remains a distant third. The survey highlights BRS dominance in most divisions, with Congress gaining ground in Vengalraonagar and Rehmat Nagar.

Hyderabad: Another pre-election survey done in Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency, slated to go to polls on November 11, has shown how Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) candidate Maganti Sunitha is surging ahead, leaving behind Congress nominee V Naveen Yadav.

The survey, done by Hyderabad-based KK Surveys and Strategies, shows BRS as the frontrunner with a projected 55.2 percent share across the constituency, followed by the Congress at 37.8 percent and the BJP at 7 percent.

The Jubilee Hills constituency, for which bypolls were necessitated after the demise of BRS legislator Maganti Gopinath, comprises seven divisions viz., Yousufguda, Erragadda, Shaikpet, Srinagar Colony, Vengalraonagar, Rehmat Nagar and Borabanda.

According to the survey, BRS leads by a margin of 1.6 percentage points in Yousufguda with 47.1 percent against Congress’s 45.5 percent, while the BJP garners 7.4 percent. In Erragadda, BRS enjoys a comfortable margin of 29.9 percentage points, with 61.6 percent of the projected vote share, compared to 31.7 percent for Congress and 6.7 percent for BJP.

Shaikpet mirrors this pattern, as BRS registered a margin of 27.1 percentage points by clocking 60.1 percent, Congress at 33 percent, and BJP at 6.9 percent. Srinagar Colony sees BRS (lead of 28.6 percentage points) maintaining its strong position at 61.9 percent, Congress at 33.3 percent, and BJP at 4.8 percent.

The contest swings toward Congress in Vengalraonagar, where it leads with 48.5 percent, narrowly surpassing BRS at 46.1 percent (a slender lead of 2.4 points) , while BJP garners 5.5 percent. Congress also holds an edge in Rehmat Nagar with 51.1 percent, compared to BRS’s 45.6 percent (a margin of 5.6 points) and BJP’s 3.3 percent.

The largest margin for BRS appears in Borabanda (a lead of 31.6 points), which records a 63.2 percent share for BRS, with Congress at 31.6 percent and BJP at 5.2 percent.
