Lakshminarayana said Khammam people voted for development giving a landslide victory to TRS. Around 54 per cent people voted in favour of TRS.It would boost the party morale to work for further development of the city.

BJP, though a national party the votes it got were much lesser than NOTA votes, the MLC said while MLA Veeraiah noted that though they expected to win 50 seats because of few technical mistakes the party lost four to five seats.

MLA Naik felt that the results of KMC and other elections in the State set a mood for the next Assembly elections indicating more victories for TRS in future. CPI leader Prasad said CPI-TRS alliance was formed to keep communal forces away from Khammam.
