KNRUHS announces Bridge Course for BAMS candidates in Community Health
KNRUHS will conduct the Bridge Course exam for BAMS graduates on September 29, 2025. Those who completed training will be certified as Mid-Level Health Providers (MLHPs) or Community Health Officers (CHOs) to work in rural and primary healthcare centers

Hyderabad: The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana, on Monday issued a notification to conduct an examination for the Bridge Course in Certificate Programme in Community Health, to be held on Sunday, September 29, 2025. The computer-based test will comprise paper-I (70 marks) and paper-II (70 marks) and will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm on Sunday, September 29.
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) students selected as BAMS MLHPs and under gone training and completed the Certificate Programme in Community Health at designated study centers in districts are eligible to appear for the ensuing examination.
The registration link to apply for the examination will be live from September 11 to September 18, 2024. The details of the Centre where the examination will be held shall be provided in the Hall Ticket. The eligible candidate shall download the hall ticket online from September 22, 2205, from the KNRUHS website.
After completing the Bridge Course, the BAMS graduates will be officially designated as Mid-Level Health Providers (MLHPs), often also referred to as Community Health Officers (CHOs), who will provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to communities.
The BAMS graduates, designated as CHOs, will implement and monitor national health programs, provide ambulatory (outpatient) care for common ailments, etc. The bridge course allows BAMS graduates to become a vital part of the public healthcare system, addressing the shortage of healthcare professionals in rural and underserved areas.
