Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Finance Minister T Harish Rao opined that Sirpur (T) MLA Koneru Konappa was a role model to legislators of Telangana in serving the public.
He visited a Nitya Annadanasatram operated by Sirpur (T) MLA Koneru Konappa in Kaghaznagar on Friday. He was joined by forest minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy.
Harish Rao said that operating the daily-poor feeding centre was a laudable effort by Konappa. He praised the legislator for passionately serving the needy and in particular satiating hunger of the poor. He dined at the centre along with the MLA and his wife Rama Devi. He moved all corners of the centre. Earlier, he was accorded a tumultuous welcome on his maiden arrival to the town.
Assures to grant dialysis to Kaghaznagar
The health minister assured to sanction a dialysis centre to Kaghaznagar community health centre in a month responding to a plea made by Konappa during the visit.
Konappa brought to the notice of Harish Rao that people dwelling in remote parts were struggling to reach the facilities located in neighboring Mancherial district. He said that the centre would be a boon to the needy.
MLC Dande Vittal, Zilla Parishad chairperson Koval Laxmi, vice-chairperson Koneru Krishna Rao, municipal chairperson Saddam Hussain, vice-chairperson Rachakonda Girish Kumar, agriculture market committee chairman Kasam Srinivas, Collector Rahul Raj, Additional Collector Varun Reddy, Koneru Charitable Trust chairman Koneru Vamshi and local leaders of TRS were present.
