Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy temple decked up for Pedda Hanuman Jayanthi

Jagtial: The stage is all set for the Pedda Hanuman Jayanthi celebrations to be held at the Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy temple, with elaborate arrangements made for the three-day celebrations from Tuesday.
Besides decorating the temple with colourful lighting, temporary pandals have also been arranged. Welcome arches have also been put up at the JNTU check-post as well as at the bottom of the hill on which the Kondagattu shrine is situated. Four lakh laddu prasadam is being prepared since about two lakh pilgrims are likely to visit the shrine. Seven counters have also been set up to distribute laddu prasadam apart from 10 counters for ‘kesakandana’ and special darshan.
Besides making arrangements to fill the temple tank with water frequently, 120 showers have also been arranged for devotees. Over 380 workers have been deployed to keep the temple area clear always. Drinking water facility and temporary toilets have also been established. Medical camps have been set up to provide treatment to devotees, and adequate medicines are also made available. The ‘108’ service ambulance is kept ready.
Three TGRTC buses have also been deployed to transport pilgrims free of cost from Bojjapothana temple to Kondagattu ‘Y’ junction.
In order to entertain the devotees, temple authorities have made arrangements for cultural programmes. Parking places are also arranged in different places. For security purposes, 48 CCTV cameras were established in addition to the existing 64 cameras on the temple premises.
A Hanuman Jayanthi Shobha Yatra will be taken out from the ‘Y’ junction to the main temple. Continuing the tradition, silk cloths and ‘talambralu’ of Bhadrachalam temple will be presented to the presiding deity. Hanuman ‘deeksha’ devotees will end their deeksha on the occasion.
On the other hand, in the wake of Jayanthi celebrations, authorities have cancelled all Arjitha Sevas for four days.
