‘Kondamallu’ reflects Chenchu traditions, says Harish Rao
Former Minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader T Harish Rao released senior journalist Vardelli Venkateshwarlu’s book “Kondamallu” at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, Gachibowli. He praised the work for portraying the life and traditions of the Chenchus.

Hyderabad: Former Minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader T Harish Rao said “Kondamallu” – the book written by senior journalist Vardelli Venkateshwarlu, reflects the life of Chenchus.
Harish Rao, who released the book at a programme organized at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, Gachibowli here on Sunday, said usually writers pen novels and books about wars fought by great kings. But, writing a book to reflect the life of tribes and their traditions was a good initiative, he said.
Harish Rao also recalled that he had released three books written by Vardelli Venkateshwarlu. With “Kondamallu”, he had depicted and shared the culture and history of the Chenchus in such a way that it would remain etched in history, he said.
The former Minister also reminded that he had released Vardelli Venkateshwarlu “Maranam Anchuna” book. Venkateshwarlu was striving hard to protect and preserve the identity of Chenchus, he appreciated, adding Venkateshwarlu’s another book “Pitta Valina Chettu” reflects the formation of Telangana State.
MLC Goreti Venkanna, poet and writer Juluri Gourishankar, Senior Editor Vardelli Murali, ‘Telangana Today‘ Editor K Srinivas Reddy, Former MLA Kranthi Kiran, TuWJ General Secretary Maruthi Sagar and others participated in the programme.
