Jagtial: A teacher from the Government Girl’s High School, Korutla, Chanda Nagaraju got an invitation to take part in Azadi ka Digital Mahostav, a week-long programme at Habitat Center, New Delhi on December 4.
A physical science teacher and scout master, Nagaraju is one among the 75 persons selected from across the country for the programme to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
A top user of my.gov.in portal of the Central government, Nagaraju has been selected for the event for getting top score by sharing valuable thoughts, ideals and advice to the government through the portal. He got ‘Change Maker Badge’ by scoring 1.31 lakh points in the portal, which has been followed by more than 2 crore people.
As part of the programme, he is going to take part in different seminars wherein experts in digital technology, prominent industrialists and others would educate the participants on different subjects. Speaking to Telangana Today, Nagaraju expressed happiness for getting an invitation. He was a regular user of my.gov.in portal, which was launched in 2014 by the Prime Minister.
Since then he has regularly been participating in tasks, quiz competitions, surveys and other events given in the portal. Besides sharing thoughts and advice, he uploaded photos and videos of various programmes done by him as part of Haritha Haram, Swachh Bharat, Yoga Day and other occasions. He also uploaded photos and videos on environment, Covid vaccination and others.
Informing that there was an energy club in their school, he uploaded the activities of the club in the portal and how the students have developed confidence through the club, he informed.
