Kothagudem: Five injured in a road accident, three serious

The injured, Rohith, Kiran, Keerthi, Pravallika and Deepthi of Hyderabad were going to Bhadrachalam in the car.

Kothagudem: Five persons were grievously injured in a road accident at Venkataiah thanda of Tekulapally mandal in the district on Saturday.

They were injured when a car coming from Yellandu collided head on with a SCCL explosive vehicle going to Yellandu from Tekulapally at a curve on the road. The injured, Rohith, Kiran, Keerthi, Pravallika and Deepthi of Hyderabad were going to Bhadrachalam in the car.

The car’s engine was badly damaged due to the impact of the collision. Tekulapally SI, P Suresh with the help of the locals shifted the injured to Government General Hospital in Kothagudem for treatment.

The condition of Rohith, who was driving the car, was said to be critical besides two others.
