SP Sunil Dutt handing over a cash cheque of Rs 1 lakh to the family of the head constable who died of Covid-19 in Kothagudem on Tuesday.
Kothagudem: Police personnel and officers serving at the district police headquarters have come to the rescue of the family of a head constable (AR), Shaik Abdul Wahab, who died of Covid-19 recently.
The police personnel and officers contributed money from their pocket to raise an amount of Rs one lakh rupees to help the aggrieved family. The Superintendent of Police (SP) Sunil Dutt handed over the cheque to the family members in his office here on Tuesday.
The SP lauded the district AR officers and staff for disbursing Rs 1 lakh as part of their contribution to the family of the deceased colleague. He said that the police officers and staff, who were constantly on duty serving the people, have to take care of their health.
Steps would be taken to provide all benefits to the family of the constable Wahab, on behalf of the police department and the government as soon as possible, the SP said. Additional SP (AR) B Kishtaiah and RI (Admin) Krishna were present.
