Kothagudem: The CPI (Maoist) Central Committee Spokesperson Abhay has condoled the death of senior communist leader Kakarala Suryakantam (81) who passed away recently in Hyderabad following heart ailment.
In a statement released to the media here on Thursday, Abhay said Suryakantam despite several hardships had always supported the revolutionary movement along with her husband Kakarala Veera Venkata Satyanarayana, a veteran film actor and activist.
He said Satyanarayana, a disciple of noted cinema artist, late Garikapati Raja Rao, and Suryakantam actively participated in revolutionary politics. The couple encouraged their two daughters to take the path of Communist revolutionary movement.
