Kothagudem: Minor girl, 35-year-old man found dead after consuming pesticide at Bhadrachalam lodge

A minor girl from Aswapuram and a 35-year-old married man from West Godavari died after allegedly consuming pesticide at a lodge in Bhadrachalam, Kothagudem district. Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the circumstances of their deaths.

Kothagudem: A minor girl and a 35 year old allegedly died by suicide at a private lodge at Bhadrachalam in the district on Friday.

According to police, the girl of Aswapuram mandal in Kothagudem district and the man Ravi (35) of Ravi Gudem village in Kukunoor mandal of West Godavari in AP took a room in Bhagyalakshmi Lodge in the town on Thursday.

They attempted suicide by consuming pesticide. The lodge staff rushed them to the local Government Area Hospital for treatment. Ravi died while being shifted to the hospital and the girl died undergoing treatment in the ICU.

It was said that Ravi was already married and the father of three children. The minor girl was studying in the 8th standard. Their family members said that there was a love affair between them. CI Nagarju visited the spot, registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
