Kothagudem: Six Maoist sympathisers arrested, pressure cooker bomb seized
Manugur DSP V. Ravindra Reddy stated that security forces, involved in area domination near a forest area close to the project, spotted and apprehended six individuals. During the operation, the police discovered a pressure cooker bomb with electric wires attached.

Kothagudem: Six sympathisers of CPI (Maoist) party were arrested by Cherla police, special party personnel and CRPF 141 C battalion near Taliperu project in Cherla mandal in the district on Saturday.
Manugur DSP V Ravindra Reddy in a statement said that the security forces which were engaged in area domination in a forest area near the project spotted six persons and nabbed them. The police found a pressure cooker bomb with electric wires connected to it.
Upon questioning the arrested revealed that they were Maoist sympathisers and they blasted a pressure cooker bomb on October 17 at Gorukonda area targetting security personnel. Police seized the pressure cooker bomb from their possession.
Madakam Deva, Sodi Unga, Sodi Kosa, Madakam Idma, Kaluma Aduma and Kovvasi Bhimaiah of Chennapuram village of Cherla mandal were the sympathisers arrested by the police. Strict action would be taken against those who were supporting Maoists either directly or indirectly, Ravindra Reddy warned.
Senior CRPF officials Rajesh Dogra and S Singaravel, Cherla SHO A Raju Varma and SI R Narsi Reddy were present.
