Kothagudem: Kothagudem Superintendent of Police B Rohit Raju received an honour from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for his efforts to ensure the smooth conduct of the previous Lok Sabha elections without any untoward incidents.
CRPF Inspector-General Charu Sinha lauded the SP for his efforts in coordinating the district police officers, staff, and officers of other departments in the effective conduct of the parliamentary elections. She presented him with a DG commendation disc and a certificate of appreciation.
Rohit Raju received the honour at a function held at the CRPF south sector office in Hyderabad on Monday. This recognition was given to him for making tight security arrangements in Kothagudem, a Maoist-affected district.
The SP said that it was due to the collective efforts of the police officers and staff working in the district that the parliamentary elections were successfully completed without any untoward incidents.
