Kothagudem: A tiger was spotted moving in Manugur forest range in the district on Saturday.
According to Manugur FRO Dwalia, the big cat’s pug marks were found in the forests between Samabaiahgudem and Appaiahgudem. The pictures of those pug marks have been sent to higher officials for confirmation, he said.
Speaking to Telangana Today, he said two persons claimed to have seen the tiger moving in the area. Forest personnel were engaged to track the movements of the tiger. The locals and NREGS workers were alerted and advised not to cause any harm to the tiger.
Sources said a tiger was spotted crossing a main road at Cherla on Friday. It may be noted that the tiger was found moving in many places in Annapureddypalli, Chandrugonda, Dammapet, Penuballi and Sathupalli in erstwhile Khammam district.
